    Meet the SLP

    Danielle Korte, M.S., CCC-SLP

Hi, I’m Danielle Korte, M.S., CCC-SLP - a licensed speech-language pathologist and founder of Empowering Connections Speech Therapy.

I’m passionate about helping children become confident communicators through play-based, family centered therapy.  With years of experience supporting toddlers through school-age children, I focus on creating fun, engaging sessions that are rooted in connections, trust, and each chid’s unique strengths.

I’ve completed extensive professional development, including training in orofacial myofunctional therapy through The Myo Method, and I continue to expand my knowledge to provide the best care possible.

Whether we’re working on speech sounds, language development, or oral motor patterns, I believe in partnering with families every step of the way - because real progress happens when we grow together.

When I’m not in the therapy room, you can find me enjoying time with my husband and two daughters, our (many) pets, reading a book, or creating fun therapy activities.

      Frequently Asked Questions

Please contact us if you cannot find an answer to your question.

We are a private-pay practice and do not bill insurance directly. This allows us to focus fully on your child’s individual needs - without limitations set by insurance companies.

Possibly! If your plan offers out-of-network benefits, you may be able to get reimbursed. We’ll provide you with a superbill - a special receipt with everything your insurance needs to review your claim.

A superbill includes the details of your child’s therapy sessions (like dates, services, and diagnosis codes).  You can submit it to your insurance for potential reimbursement.

      • Evaluation includes written report reviewed in-person or virtually: $260
      • 30-Minute Therapy Session: $70
      • 45-Minute Therapy Session: $95

OMT is a type of therapy that helps improve how muscles of the face and mouth work - supporting healthily breathing, speaking, eating, and oral habits.

      Children who:

      • mouth breathe
      • have tongue thrust or messy swallowing
      • struggle with certain speech sounds
      • have orthodontic concerns
      • show signs of weak oral muscle coordination

Your child may need speech therapy if they are demonstrating difficulty articulating words clearly or have difficulty producing specific speech sounds.  Their speech should be 50% intelligible by 2 and 75% intelligible by age 3. You may notice that your child is demonstrating difficulty with formulating clear coherent sentences to express their thoughts. Your child may have difficulty answering questions, following directions or engaging and participating in conversations.
